Cesar Ornelas can trace back his interest and passion for philanthropy to his grandmother’s legacy when she passed away. Lucia, known for her service work and dedication to her community, was dubbed the Angel of Port Luca, Texas. It was here that she was known for delivering coats and shoes to children in need. Her mission throughout her life, like Cesar’s, is to give individuals the value of self-worth and enable families to overcome the obstacles brought on by life. Since her passing, Cesar has made it his mission and purpose of giving back and helping those in need.

In 2010, Cesar and his family founded the Lucia Ornelas Foundation, non-profit supporting community outreach and providing basic items like food, water, and shoes to residents of Port Lavaca. Through these experiences, Cesar learned the ins and outs of what it takes to make a positive impact on one’s surrounding communities. He has dedicated his life to this, both professionally and personally, ever since.

Cesar Ornelas owns and operates two highly successful law firms, each of which he has used as a vehicle to make positive impacts across small and large communities alike. Through his namesake law firm, Cesar Ornelas Law, Cesar has been able to donate on a massive level to numerous toy drives, Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaways, organizations like MADD, and community outreach programs, such as sponsoring local youth baseball and football leagues. Cesar Ornelas is a longstanding member of the El Paso and San Antonio rotary clubs and remains active in the fight against COVID-19.

When the pandemic first hit, Cesar Ornelas knew he wanted to be a part of keeping the community safe. He and his law firm were able to donate hundreds of masks and hand sanitizer to the people of San Antonio, and his firm continues to provide advocacy services through remaining open, despite the toll the virus has had over the previous year.
